WINES
Simplicity and quality; genuineness and territory to be
tasted in a wine. This is the message that we wish to convey with
the wines Ca'Lustra. In order to emphasize our respect
for tradition, the label of the "basic" line will be restyled
reflecting the ones produced in the '80s and '90s.
Our "high" line of wines has a different history.
After the first selections of vineyards branded with the name
"Zanovello" in the '90s, in 2002 we started producing
more and more new wines from special and dedicated grapes and
vineyards. Ca' Lustra combined research, experience and
innovation drawing from the tradition of wine production that
in the region Veneto can be traced back 3000 years ago. The
labels of the "Zanovello" wines will signify this meeting
point between the contemporary and ancient regional traditions.
Sweet Wines are an ancient tradition in the Euganean
Hills. The white muscat was already here since the roman
age, but the many aromatic and very sweet grapes we now find here
were brought by the Venetians - during the Republic of Venice,
from their commercial travels all around the Mediterranean sea.
So these hills, that at that time were already the most desired
place for the well-living people to spend the summer season, started
to host the growing of grapes like Fior d'Arancio, Malvasia,
Marzemino, red Muscats... We produce nothing less than
four different types of sweet wine, covering every need
and taste.

TYPICAL PRODUCTS
In the winery, besides wine, you can find the intense savours
of extra-virgin olive oil,vinegar, grapes and cluster distillate,
cherry with cluster and integral honey, that is given by
shames of acacia, chestnut tree and spring flowers.
We also produce jams with seasonal fruits: apples,
figs, apricots, cherries...

CHOCO & WINE
Our friend Giuseppe Trisciuzzi has recently come up with
an original idea: a spreadable cream made with chocolate and
wine.
He discussed the idea with Franco Rizzati, a young and enthusiastic
artisan of chocolate. Franco accepted the challenge and started
experimenting. Some of the best producers of wines provided samples
of their best red wines in order to find the prefect combination.
After numerous attempts, the final balance was found: dark chocolate
from Trinidad and Venezuela at 80% of purity and red wine in
equal parts.
Ca'Lustra participates in this adventure with the Merlot "Sassonero".
