FIOR D'ARANCIO SPUMANTE DOCG
In the Colli Euganei we are priviliged with the luck and the
task of maintaining and developing the production of one of the
oldest and most characteristic grapes of all the Mediterranean
area: Moscato giallo (yellow Moscato). Its small family is best
represented by the Fior d'Arancio (Orange Blossom) variety: this
grape offers a palet of aromas which has twice the concentration
of other known Moscato, such as Moscato bianco.
The sparkling wine we produce is decidedly sweet but has a fresheness
and a fruit that put to shame the tiring and "sticky"
notes often found in other types of Moscato. The total planted
area in the Faedo valley is about 1,8 hectars and the total production
is of about fifteeen thousand bottles.
